In this section you will find some general information about the linux operating system. In addition you will find a short overview about some distributions.
The arch linux section contains specific informations about the arch linux distribution. One of the main design goals of arch linux is the KISS principle (Keep it safe and simple).
In some this section also deals with an operating system. But this operating system can be also used for text editing. I want to give several examples how to use this editor for everyday work (org-mode), statistical analysis (with R ess-mode) and coding (html-mode, cedet etc.).
Here you will find some tips and if I have enough time some tutorials regarding coding. The main emphasis in this section will be the programming languages C++ and lisp. Also there will be some information about integrated development environments (IDE).
This section introduces virtual machines and their usability when using different operating systems or when trying to simulate different architectures. In this section you will find informations for running linux under windows and vice versa. The virtualization under windows will be managed with virtualbox whereas the virtualization under linux will be managed with qemu in interplay with the libvirt API.
